I also used the RF fan control wire that was on the intake since all it does is ground the relay when it reaches temp, which is the same function that fitech does. I have a diff ignition set up than you, so I pulled the tach off the back of the tach, which is fed from an MSD box. fitech says this is okay to do.

May 26, 2020 · There is a way to stop it from priming in the instructions. I have reset my prime fuel down to 100 on my dual set-up. Does your distributor base timing show 8* on the handheld? How many wires do you have on the coil + post? What did Fitech suggest? Bryce seems to be the go-to guy.
Since my initial installation I have made additional changes that include modifying my Quadrajet intake so that I can bolt the FiTech directly to it (Quadrajet intakes otherwise are not compatible to this square bore throttle body) as well as redoing my ignition system using the timing built into the FiTech.

The customer service offered by Fitech also has been a very poor experience for us. There is no comparison in the way the two systems function, nor in the way they are set up. The Holley system is 100% made in the USA and that is not the case with the Fitech system.

Mar 06, 2016 · If it helps anyone, a quick update on mine. I have what seems like a pretty aggressive setup on my 383 (pulls 10.5" of vac at 1000 rpm). I assumed I would need at least a 3 or 4 on the initial setup for cam, etc. Felt ok but missing a little something on power, plus it would have a hesitation if you punched it under 3k (same as too much advance).

Pros: Every component in this kit seems to be VERY well made. Installation was easy, initial setup was easy. Ecu and overall control of the unit exceeds expectations (I'm ignorant.)
